For us, that candy was always from Japan. We were fascinated by the endless creativity—the fizzy sodas, the fun DIY kits, the beautifully packaged chocolates.
But like many of you, we found that getting our hands on these incredible treats outside of Japan was nearly impossible. The world of authentic Japanese candy felt like a wonderful, distant dream.
Our big dream!
Living in Tokyo, we were surrounded by the very treats we knew the world was missing out on.
We'd send care packages to friends and family abroad, filling boxes with our latest convenience store finds and seasonal favorites.
Seeing their sheer delight and excitement as they unboxed these goodies sparked an idea: "What if we could do this for everyone?" We realized we could share not just candy, but the genuine experience of discovery and the pure fun that comes with it.
What started as a small dream fueled by a love for candy has now grown into a global family connected by a shared sweet tooth.
Our mission became clear!
We started with a simple goal: to create the most fun and accessible Japanese candy experience possible.
From a small office in Tokyo, our passionate team began building relationships with beloved Japanese candy makers. We became "snack hunters," dedicating ourselves to finding the best, the newest, and the most exciting treats.
We didn't just want to send random candy; we wanted to curate a monthly themed adventure, a carefully selected journey through the flavors of Japan.
Japan Candy Box was born!
We launched our first subscription box, packing each one by hand and hoping to share a piece of our passion with the world. We were amazed by the response!
A community of fellow candy lovers began to grow, sharing their unboxing moments and favorite treats with us.
